My post was in response to Pats Van saying that we don't know all the facts.

Fact of the matter is, if you hit someone (he did), regardless of the reasons (correct me if I am wrong here, but from all accounts, they were delayed back to the hotel because they were drinking at a pub and the kitchen was shut at the hotel when they finally got back) you get disciplined. As he was on his final warning, after several racist remarks over the years (as much as the producers should take some blame for keeping the content in, it was still Jeremy saying the things) he was fired.

Saying his contract wasn't renewed is fine, it wasn't, but they have effectively cancelled the remainder of the the Top Gear season, ergo, he was fired.

If they had fired him then that would have left the BBC wide open to a lawsuit, not renewing his contract leaves no possibility of this.

He has been sacked, the BBC aren't daft though, played it well they did.

Clarkson and his sideshow will move to where the biggest offer is, could this all have been engineered to get out of the BBC?, who knows, but the brand of Clarkson, May and Hammond will not be hurting after this, I guarantee it, they will earn more doing the same thing elsewhere, and the fans will follow, the 3 of them is great Bantz across the world.

I used to find him and the other two very entertaining but he's been so out of order so often these last few years that he has become unwatchable scum to me. Hopefully, we'll never see him again but I fear Richard Desmond is on the dog and bone now, proposing a reboot of 5th Gear. Tiff Needell is the big loser here.
