Here's my two cents !! I can see tom ince coming in for 2/3 million and mirralas moving into the striker role and with Gerry due to arrive back within next few weeks I can't see him blowing money on a striker ... I'd like to see a Ba coming in or that young Belgian guy but maybe he'll wait till summer reassess things so maybe a loan now to tide us over

I know what your saying and we definitely need a striker. But I dunno, I think we need players of a certain calibre more than anything else. If a brilliant Belgian winger wants to join us and play with his mates Kev & Rom then we're flexible enough to accommodate that. A signing like that would lift everyone, not sure kenwynne jones does the same!

Christian Benteke has had an awful season 15mil and roberto works his magic and we get him back to a 20 goal striker

the reason why I think it will be a long/fletcher type is that lukaku is obvious 1st choice and RM will probably want a striker who is happy to be on the bench and come on to try make an impact in the last 20/25 mins of a game. I couldn't imagine Ba or Volland etc. coming and being happy with that.

So basically use the same exact logic as Hull have just done with Jelavic but for higher stakes haha

Sort of agree with you though, but I saw Benteke in Belgium before he joined Villa and he was literally EXACTLY like he has been lately. So I don't know if that season for Villa was a fluke.

There's no way we won't buy a striker IMO. Think we'll end up with a winger and a striker signed by the end of the month. Just hope the striker is someone who can make an immediate impact.

Lukaku isn't first choice, he's a loanee for the next five months. We can't afford to buy yet another backup considering we have Kone on the books.

It has to be a serious signing, especially as we're pushing the CL spots at the moment.
