....worth a reminder of why he was brought in & it was lots to do with much needed running power in CM. Doucoure also provides this, but it will be a huge bonus if Gbamin can get back to full fitness. A huge addition, Ancelotti will be very keen to have him available.

Like Doucoure, this fella’s game is probably as much to do with what he does without the ball as what he does with it. There won’t be defence splitting passes, but he can go with runners, has powers of recovery when the opposition are beyond him & he can get us up the pitch with his transition from defence to attack.

I thought it was 2 actions getting tackled and giving the ball away. As we excel at both. At least he only gives the ball away when tackled so it will be an improvement. To pass the final test he needs to be able to pass backwards and sideways and hit the first man with any crosses.

He played only two gamesone at home he was excellent, never looked to have been injured lookers great signing then in midweek the club announced an injury to him - sad - never been seen since ......
