Oozes class

Let’s enjoy him while we can because it’s going to be difficult to keep the vultures away in the summer.
I dunno who’s buying him from the PL though. Maybe one of the big European teams? Wouldn’t be surprised to see him stay possibly with a new contract.

We need to keep him for the next 3 or 4 years and make a team worth staying for. If he continues on the same trajectory he'll be an England regular by then and then if he wants to go to Barcelona or Real Madrid then fair enough, but we have so few class players it would be a very bad move to take the money as we simply couldn't attract the calibre of players in our current position.

Everton: Hi. Jarrad’s a good player, so could we please begin discussions re: a new long-term deal?

Agent: No.

Everton: Okay, thank-you for your time.

[Agent hangs up]

Jarrad: Who was that on the fax machine?

Agent: Nobody.
I've got a bit more faith in the club moving forward to be honest.

Ideally we could do with moving away from this type of Evertonian self sabotage...lord knows there are enough people outside the club doing it.

I think he'll look at the club moving into a new stadium, with a decent manager, new owners I think it's somewhere he could play for a few more years.

I take your point, but fear we are too far from any real success for Jarrad to think it’s worth staying for long. Particularly if clubs with a legitimate chance of silverware come calling.

Obviously I’d love for Jarrad to stick around and for us to build a team around him… but fear it may be the next wonderkid we produce who might actually have good reason to stick around.

This, all day long. New contract, the captains armband. Our new Labone. Make it so, Everton.
