Journos are told what they can and can’t ask about before the press conference
They do as they are told or else they don’t get any more information in future

I think it unlikely he will be sold in this window now.
Certainly not to a club that is trying to sign the player on the cheap.
I don't think the club can sell him to Liverpool for obvious reasons.
However, a club like City could very easily step in with a huge bid and complete a deal quickly.
