….i think 72 is the number of players who debuted whilst with us. I immediately think of David Unsworth and Franny Jetters, both one cap wonders. Derek Temple and Colin Harvey only won single caps but very deserved and they’d get many more in this era.

I’d like to think last night’s was the first of many for Branthwaite.

Judging by the link i sent above with the list, i think its just people who played for England while at Everton....Barmby & Neville are on that list but debuted for different clubs!

Unsworth is a good shout, but he was under 21 captain at the time!
