Branthwaite is potentially a top player and using the @Eggs analogy hes better to keep around the squad than sending on loan.

Should use this season to cement him as 3rd choice centre back if it looks like Mina is leaving.

If not, then he goes on loan with the view to compete as a starter next season.

That’s showing remarkable faith in Everton keeping those players fit all season. If Godfrey is playing at left back a fair bit, and we have one right back at the club then Branthwaite will more than likely get some game time.

We have 2 right-backs and have had injuries so far this season in defence - he hasn't played a minute in the league.

I would have him ahead of Holgate. Even if he makes mistakes i would give him game time, the big problem is i would only partner him with Mina and thats not going to happen under Rafael.
