I am completely okay we sold Antonee Robinson in 2019 when we had Digne and Baines and he was never going to sit on the bench for 3 years either. I wouldn't even sign him now if given the chance.
Well anyway, it was James who I think would have made a big difference to our side and stretch the field.

How can you attack properly in 2022 if you have no pace to stretch the field.

Gordon and Gray are rapid, Dan James is rapid, all 3 score few goals, why dislike the first two and not the third almost identical player?
James is far more direct than both those players.

How many times yesterday did Gray receive the ball, slow it down, cut inside and pass back inside. Gordon does the same when he starts. He used to take players on but it doesn't happen much anymore.

Awesome, and what does that do? Doesn't score, doesn't assist. May as well sign Usain Bolt.

….we might as well sign Usain Bolt. Like James he’s rapid & like James he’s not very good at football.

I agree that pace is not everything, but when you have a team as slow as us, its absolutely essential.

We are easy to defend against because we have no one to worry a defence running in behind. We cant stretch the field and we cant counter attack effectively. We are slow and play the most boring rigid football

Not just pace we need is actual quality on the ball, is no football brain between gordon/gray just dont link up with other payers at all

….it’s the tempo that’s slow, I mentioned it after yesterdays game. Fast players don’t improve the tempo, moving the ball quickly improves the tempo.

Our game is like chess, just watch every time Coleman got it (and I’m not blaming him), nobody to pick out, he stood with the ball and ended up going sidewards. James is awful.

It was poor management by Lampard not to name Vinagre as a sub. We get to name 9 players!

Coleman was doing a job for the team but hes certainly not comfortable at left full back
