This, it's my one worry with him, I think we will struggle to attract players and it will be the likes of Fraser and others of that ilk.

To be fair given our position and situation, I think Thelwell would have struggled regardless.
But appointing a manager with a higher reputation would have offset the negatives somewhat.

Buying players who will ‘do for now’ is a very poor recruitment policy.
As we have seen constantly we will have a player we can’t shift off the wage bill for 3 years but who doesn’t contribute enough to significantly improve us.
If player isn’t good enough don’t buy him.
