I think it is great that we are discussing whether a back up striker or back up midfielder is more important - it just shows how good the first team is.
And I am going to stick my neck out and say most of you are doing Neville and Osman a disservice - they are playing central midfield together in the team which is probably playing the best football in the league. We wouldn't be playing as well as we are if they weren't doing their jobs properly. Perfect example - Mirallas goal against Swansea. Jags was upfront walking back, Neville noticed the gap behind and covered him in defence, won the ball and then set up the move down the right wing. Nothing flashy, not even getting outside his own half, but instumental in preventing a possible goal for Swansea and creating one for us.

In the squad the only position that stands out to me is RB and Coleman is doing a great job there. Other than that I don't think we're in need of players to fill positions unlike before the summer when we needed wingers. However I think we can improve on positions such as a striker and CM especially a creative mid and CDM. Hopefully Barkley or Junior can tick a box but I don't have much faith Anichebe and Moyes doesn't seem to have any in Vellios. :/
