The problem with having the money is that like Liverpool we would have a hard time attracting the players even if we could afford them.

Excluding the new stadium I don't think we need a full squad rebuild which is the only reason Ross would be sold for that price. We are two players short of a very quality starting 11, 2 players we can afford, it's just a question of can we sign them.

That's pretty much what every team does. Swansea will get their 30m, Celtic will get their 10m. Unless the player only has 6 months left you don't really have any bargaining power.

We did ask about Shaq Btw.
Dont start loosing it just yet..plenty of time...imo it's good that we seem to be 'asking' around and active.

For every Liverpool and Spurs there's a Southampton though. They reinvested their money really well in the summer.

It is a risk though. It probably would be beneficial long term but - I really want to see Ross fulfil his potential in an Everton shirt and not elsewhere.

Cheers mate. Marshall wouldn't cost much, surely, and that Mainz goalie is out of contract in the summer

It helped bringing in a manager from that league. We got McCarthy due to Martinez knowing the player too. How many people realized he was as good as he was.

Besides the difference is that truly top class players like Rooney, Toure, Suarez etc win you trophies. For as good as Tadic is he's never going to do that. Ross and Rom might.
 
I don't think Martinez will be given any money to spend this window in case a new manager needs to be brought in
