Seeing it again doesn't change my view that it was astronomically thick from Tarks and he's lucky to get away with it.

I don't agree it was violent conduct, but honestly what is he playing at? Beyond unnecessary.

Because different human beings can have a different interpretation of the same event and the correct punishment. Do you not watch football? Do you think ever ref and VAR are completely consistent from game to game or even within the same game

I mean there was more force in that incident then Idrissa's against Keane the other week so yes it could of been interpreted the same way with a different VAR team

The level of force isn't usually what they go on. If you hit someone in the face it's always a red card regardless of the force.

In this day and age he could easily of been sent off for it as we've seen many soft dismissals. For our captain do be that Ill disciplined isn't great and he should have better self control especially being as experienced as he is

Anyone remember that challenge he put in on Archer down at Southampton last season? Was incredible force so he could've easily been sent off on VAR review on another day.

However if no ref has ever decided to send him off in nearly a decade clearly they don't see him as this violent thug and so he gets a bit of leeway in these sort of incidents.
