A barge in the back will never be seen as violent conduct otherwise var would have intervened

You’re living in cloud cuckoo land if you think there isn’t a single premier league ref who wouldn’t potentially view that as violent conduct. Deliberately barging into someone from behind when the ball is not in play is violent in my book even if their player made the most of it. Why even give the ref a chance to send you off. Completely unprofessional.

Because different human beings can have a different interpretation of the same event and the correct punishment. Do you not watch football? Do you think ever ref and VAR are completely consistent from game to game or even within the same game

It was a clear yellow card so he was lucky not to be booked

I definitely haven't seen players sent off for less. A barge in the back is not a red card.

In this day and age he could easily of been sent off for it as we've seen many soft dismissals. For our captain do be that Ill disciplined isn't great and he should have better self control especially being as experienced as he is
