Our record with him has been significantly better than with him. I dunno what that says exactly but it doesn't suggest we cant cope without him.

I think there's a difference with a club at our level, the talent it can bring, and then tolerance.

We ain't getting another player of James calibre. When he's played, he's more than not delivered the quality we need.

It's the squad full of players that aren't even at a level that's required to compete never mind his level that's the issue.

Personally...we can tolerate that 1 player of James calibre. Yes it's frustrating. Yes it looks like is taking the mick. But if you look at most of the top teams in Europe...they all have more than one of these.

I don’t think any of the top teams in Europe have a player that is such a luxury player to the extent that James is, don’t get me wrong I appreciate the skills James shows us, brilliant, but the gaps in between the brilliant pieces are much too long as are the gaps between each game he plays, and the reasons he doesn’t play are, quite frankly, ridiculous, hence ‘ taking the pxss’.

I've been saying this for a long time. When he plays, he operates like a good old-fashioned No. 10, and our entire game is centered around him. Sometimes it works, but all too often it is too easy for the opponent to take JR out of the match. In practice, the opponent then takes out the entire team.

Exactly, and thousands of people all over the world haven’t been able to go and see their dying friends and relations this last year because of the virus, but we are miserable bastards because we see this player taking advantage of the club by ‘ doing one ‘ and going home with fatigue as the reason and getting paid at the same time!!

James is not just a great player, he is a commercial asset. From a commercial perspective, it is in some respects as important that he is visible and playing well in internationals as it is for us. That's just the nature of the game today.

I've been totally sympathetic to the idea that James can do what he likes if he keeps scoring and assisting and making Everton famous.
But the insta photo was at best tone deaf and sort of betrays that he hasnt yet understood the club culture and he's here for Carlo only. Carlo very quickly learned and understood how to talk and behave with the Everton fans and media - even his car his blue. Not many players do this, but it's a good idea to at least say good luck to his team mates, or something for the final game of the season, especially when there's a slim chance we qualify.

James was probably posting for his Colombian fans and team mates, but has to balance a bit and show something to the club. It's all a game, and there's no real loyalty from most players, but the game is you at least pretend you love the club you're at and demonstrate it on social media. and another thing, is James going to do EITC work next year? Would he turn up at a school or Alder Hey? Can't imagine it now but I really hope he does this kind of thing next season and gets more involved.
