We ain't getting another player of James calibre. When he's played, he's more than not delivered the quality we need.

It's the squad full of players that aren't even at a level that's required to compete never mind his level that's the issue.

Personally...we can tolerate that 1 player of James calibre. Yes it's frustrating. Yes it looks like is taking the mick. But if you look at most of the top teams in Europe...they all have more than one of these.

I think you're overstating his impact a bit.

And what it all does for team morale is anyone's guess.

Get him out of the club and buy a player we can count on with talent.

Ben Foster travelled everywhere with the Watford team despite not being in the squad during lockdown!

Definitely. I've said this loads - before he signed and as recently as last week.

The situation has evolved a bit though. We have Ancelotti absolutely slating the attitude and commitment of these players and in the same conversation, saying Rodriguez was too tired to play and is now concentrating on Colombia ahead of a game that could determine if we achieve the teams season objective.

Id be a massive hypocrite to condemn this group of players as unlikeable and support the managers comments regarding the group of players having an attitude problem and lacking commitment and then just shrug at Rodriguez.

Sure, 20 odd games a season from Rodriguez is a blessing.

But it does become an issue against a backdrop of the manager condemning the attitude of his players.

He played 14 the previous year, If people think this squad is in a good enough position to tell James Rodriguez to do one then pass over the good stuff that you're taking because it isn't, This squad is absolute dire.
Some fans are desperate to see him in the flesh and it says a lot.

Yould be surprised how many of them there were here when we signed him. I think there was...erm...one.
 
The other players must see that Instagram post and think what is this fella doing? He plays for Everton FC, we pay his wages! You don’t see Pickford or Dom asking for the City game off because of the Euros.

The morale in the camp must stink after that post and I don’t blame others for being bemused by James’ actions.

It can't help, that's for sure.

One or two would be forgiven for accusing the manager of favouritism.

There will be one or two snide comments from players in this group in years to come about this situation.

World class talent like Rodriguez gets favouritism or rub of the green from managers/players/fans it's nothing new and completely normal, Ancelotti has told him he can leave and declared him not fit enough/tired to play so I really don't see the problem.

If you have the hump go question Ancelotti instead.

I knew when we signed James he would get plenty of time off and be allowed to take breaks but I didn’t expect him to be jetting off to Colombia before the season ended. Something has gone on and I’m not sure he will be an Everton player next season.

Honestly, I see James and it ls all relative to me. He's a quality player but he's far from being a player we should hand a massive AWOL free pass to.

We're not talking about genius here. He played well for a handful of games in the first half of the season and then he lost form.

Nothing special, and he's on a king's ransom of a wage. Get shut of him. I bet Carlo is walking along Blundellsands beach right now on the blower to any desperate Euro outfit with cash who can relieve him of this waster.

dave you haven't got a clue what kind of wages he is on and lost form? lol. He's been the only highlight of this absolute wank Football we play. People are just rewriting history now because they have an issue with him, Surround him with better players and we'll be laughing.
