Cool guy... that control and pass, whilst under pressure. Sublime.
Don’t think anyone else in the squad does that, in that situation.

No one on the park came even close to getting within a thousand miles of that touch and pass. I actually almost feel sorry for people that don’t see the magic players like James give us. The game used to be played by footballers that were athletic, now it’s on the whole played by athletes with a bit of football in them

This is what I keep saying about James. Don’t moan about him having quiet spells in games, just enjoy those glorious moments of skill that most other players and certainly none of our other players can produce. The pass for Richarlison’s goal was one of those.

I don’t care what anybody says, when James is available he has to start, just don’t start Iceland when James plays. Enjoy him while he’s here, he’s the most gifted player we’ve had since the Golden Vision.

Alan Ball was my all time hero because he was a tireless battler who was excellent in all aspects of playing football, but, even though they are not as rounded as Bally, the Vision was the best ball player I’ve seen here and James is a close second.
