If you want to say he's not the player he was in 2014 then fine, I'd agree with that. But a guy at 50% of where he was in 2014 would waltz into this team. Hes not declining from the same point as Walcott and Sigurdsson.

Best thing about that is that Iwobi hadn't made a first team appearance for Arsenal in 2014 and Gomes had only made a handful of appearances for Benfica....

theres a good article recently posted in sky webpage " the curious case of James..." .. fair article but a really positive spin on the potential we are getting.. Basically believe with Carlo and being appreciated his potential to deliver is above the last year.. was a success at Bayern too..

Iwobi hadn't even made his professional debut in 2014, and it was also the year that Sigurdsson found himself being chased out of Tottenham. Meanwhile, Walcott had just racked up all of 13 league appearances at Arsenal.
