Confirmed Signing James Rodriguez

Dunno why people think it's BS, a player who is severely injury prone and spent most of the last 3 years injured would have a lot of things show up on a medical, I'm pretty certain myself that's what is holding it up, This isn't a cheap free transfer, it's massive with the wages and the transfer fee, if the club don't think they'd get a load of games out of him then they really do have to decide if it's worth taking that risk or not, I imagine that's what they're doing right now and we'll find out later next week.

I'm someone who wants it to happen because i think he's more talented than anyone in this team, But if the club are having doubts about investing a shed load of money into a player without getting much back from him i don't blame them fore taking their time, If it falls through because of that then we can't really complain.

I disagree, he has a good relationship with Carlo. If it is to be true, they would be waiting on second opinions, sending scans for review etc. No point in not chatting in the meantime. If he did fail a medical, it is not Carlo's fault and likewise in sure Carlo wouldn't blame him

I disagree, he has a good relationship with Carlo. If it is to be true, they would be waiting on second opinions, sending scans for review etc. No point in not chatting in the meantime. If he did fail a medical, it is not Carlo's fault and likewise in sure Carlo wouldn't blame him

If he’s failed a medical there is no way he’s hanging around.

Because there’s enough BS that gets posted on here from people who claim to be clued up on matters at the club. I guarantee you nobody on this forum knows what’s going on with this transfer. People scaremongering for the laughs.

That's fair enough mate, Can't argue with that.

But its also logical to think a player who has had many many injuries has had his medical and something may have been found to raise question marks regarding it,
No one wants bad news, Me included but people can discuss it without being called 'bed wetters' etc, It just is what it is, I'm sure we'll all know over the next few days what is happening good or bad, Until then it's just speculation like you say.
 

Me nans, nans, mates dad says that his medical picked up a torn frenulum and a bacterial infection as yet unknown to science. The medical team are saying this means he can only play on sundays where there hasn’t been a monarch for 20 years and that it could mean he can only play 60 games a season so long as the temperature is under 5°c.

Not claiming to be ITK just passing on what I’ve been told.
 
Did anybody listen to the All Together Now podcast on Thursday night and they had the German and Spanish football expert on and he basically said James is going to be a dud, will always be injured, is lazy and doesn’t like bad weather?

Kind of put a downer on it for me cause I know he could and probably will be right.

As I said above, they could simply be waiting for results. He is going to have a very very tight medical given his record. They may well be sending scans to specialists all over the place. If there is an issue, no doubt there will be second and probably third opinions involved all of which take time, especially over the weekend.

That said, the most likely outcome is the club don't want a double / triple announcement to maximise PR
