James McCarthy

they're laughable on MOTD. pulled up both of barrys yesterday (one where he was just controlling the ball, the other where he did get the ball, but because it's spherical, his studs rolled over the top).

mccarthy's today was a yellow, nothing more. these are ex players ffs, both who used to attempt a lot of tackling, it's like they're trying to talk it out of the game. Not everybody, everywhere is going to time every tackle 100% perfect and not leave a scratch on the opposition player, nobody wants to see that ffs!

if you're scared of risking a broken leg for 60k a week then there's plenty of lids on here who would jump at the chance. Injuries happen because of bad tackles, it's part and parcel of the game. the majority of them are accidents and that's all mccarthy's was.

whilst match of the day is full of grade a belters and will try to avoid talking or even mentioning us if they can, theirs no doubt whatsoever that mccarthy today was well lucky mate, that was a stone wall red card and worse than milners on him that we all yelled about not being a red

I'm with jack on this. If every tackle where you miss the ball is a red where does that leave the game?

Thought the same about hernandez's too, to be fair. If every bad tackle is a red, why the hell do we even have a yellow card?

hernandez was a flick mate, mccarthy really caught the lid hard, be honest if that was the other way around you'd be well ****ging the ref for not sending the lad off

On the other hand, well in James lad, starting to remind me of Parkinson atm, top teams always need some bite in the midfield like and he has that in spades

The refs have got much better at red cardy tackles I think. There have been far fewer of those weird decisions where they just send someone off for a sliding tackle lately, clearly the new guidelines are working better than the old.

that'd be a crap duster

I actually thought it was a yellow today. One-footed (if you watch again his other foot is completely withdrawn) and not overly high, just ridiculously late.
