- Ok we might be selling Fellaini
- I don't think we should pay more than 8m for McCarthy, 12m would be vastly too much.
- If he is the replacement for Fellaini that's bad, if he is the replacement for Osman that's good.

Tell me...I am curious...when did goals become important for a DM. Where would you rate goals in importance when rating a DM?...i am very curious. I watched the vid of McCarthy posted earlier in this thread...what he did was excellent...breaking up play...distribution etc and I liked a lot of his options...seems to have a quick mind to anticipate as well...thus I would liek to know what you didn't like there...related to the duties he needs to perform in his role on the pitch?

I'll cry if/when we replace Fellaini with McCarthy.

If we somehow get him for a reasonable price without selling it would be good business.

His argument seems to be that fellaini isn't purely a defensive player but mccarthy is.

And we're a team who've just had two 0-0 draws and are swapping an attacking player with a defensive one.

So its obvious he's replacing Felli as he's the one who's off

I don't see how you think he's not a good replacement when his stats speak for themself, He's a young lad and IMO will only get better

Comparing Felli to anyone is just stupid as he's a freak, I don't think there's another player like him in Europe, That does not mean McCarthy will no be a good signing

Also I don't get mad on the internet mate unless I am talking to a Kopite

Yep. Last year people were using similar to paint Phil Neville as a passing maestro.

They mean nothing; you can only use them in relation to the player in the role he's given.

We were discussing overall contributions to the team, and it is my firm belief that McCarthy is incapable of replacing Fellaini. I didn't bring up the goals - Del did, my favourite part of it being where he decided to leave out an entire season because it didn't suit his argument.

I'm confused - I used the youtube vid to criticise McCarthy and was told you can't do that from a youtube clip, but apparently it's quite fine for people to use it as evidence of his positive effectiveness? Where is the consistency - well, certainly not from Davek's transfer values
