Signings like this are fine alongside a couple of significantly better players who move the level of the squad forward properly. If those players come in, this type of thing is OK, but we need to be very careful that our unprecedented rebuild doesn't turn into us just signing a load of bang average PL players in their peak years and so cementing ourselves as an also ran for another god knows how many years.

Reading about Justin, I can’t recall whether he is good, bad or indifferent, I think we are getting to the stage of beggars can’t be choosers in our transfer dealings— I hope this isn’t the case but surely there are better full backs out there rather than this lad?

I'm 59 have an arthritic left knee and left ankle but can pick a pass like Pirlo and read the game like Bobby Moore. I have a substantial recovery time between games but im sure I could manage more games than DCL did.
