If we get to a point where he is just a useful squad player, than we will be looking pretty damn sweet.
If he can become just a league-average 1v1 defender at fullback, he'd be genuinely great there. His passing from that position is SO good - that little bit more time on the ball and not needing to turn into space seems to have totally unlocked his passing range.
He gets beaten on the dribble so much currently though - if that can get worked on well, it would be a great outcome.

That’s what he is now and we’re 13th.
This is his level. He’s fine playing to an ok level at full back or midfield but he’ll never be more than that.
He's one of the first names on the sheet, take him out and see if you keep to that opinion.
If he was just a useful squad player we would be watching European football at the moment.
The midfield has functioned better without him this season.
His best position for us is at full back.

Once Garner is gone they will find the next decent player to run out of town, because anyone whos not prime Ronaldo isnt good enough for our NSNO. Im betting Ndiaye has a couple poor games and then hes next, as people start bringing up his assist numbers.
