To be perfectly honest, why on earth is Downing in there and not Sturridge? And in a totally unbiased way, but did anyone else see how poor Gerrard was the other night? Utter Tosh in my opinion

I thought this, maybe he will use jones as midfield cover and jags as cb/rb cover, and yes I did see how gash Gerard was ! Shocking, I would like to see lampard in there, in th cl semi and final he was brilliant laid deep and worked really hard and he passing was good, stevie g just look for 60 yrd Hollywood passes and gives the ball back to the opposition

He did [Poor language removed] all in the season, so he's probably fit to play the entire Euros, he's been saving himself.

That's exactly what I saw. I read a comment by a Canadian (of all people) that due to Gerrard playing for too long in a crap Liverpool side, he has become used to playing these 'hollywood' passes due to a lack of creative partners (at least since Alonso went). He now hinders the slow build up play that is needed in international football.

As much as it pains me to say it, he really could have been a leading light for England early on, however that ship has well sailed. You could see it when he made that horrific challenge, that was born out frustration at his own diminished abilities.

IMO he's a *adopts Ray Winston voice* FACKIN LIABILITY!!! He will land us in the brown stuff if that happens in the Euro's.

I agree I think Roy will have Jones as the cover for midfield and Jags will be the cover for the cb/rb. I quite like Jones in midfield played there a few times for United and in the u21 euro championships.
