Just how good are these two? Great again tonight as they have been since the Chelsea game.
Baines and Hibbo were also class so trebles all round.
V proud of our defence tonight.:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Well Hibbo did make a couple of really dodgy passes late in the game to give thme the ball back.

But he also made a super awesome run out of the defence with the ball before bloody Mascherano fouled him.

So yeah, Hibbo has really stepped his game up lately along with the rest of the defence.
 

So good i couldve wanked over their performances.

Hibbert and Baines were great too, all English Backline...something to be proud of :)

Jagielka was marking Torres - and Torres didnt get a thing past him. Not many players out do Torres on pace.
Lescott - equally great, didnt have as much marking to do, but some great headers, made the run that got Lucas sent off, and he played an OUTSTANDING ball to Rodwell late in the game.
 
Not many agreed with me on here a few months ago for saying Lescott would be first choice centre half. As I said then he was never a left back but just a centre half doing an amazing job at LB

I just hope Yobo will wait his turn and stay with us cos can't see him getting back in for a while

Jagielka and Lescott are BOTH brilliant and should BOTH be in the next England squad.

especially as there playing Spain and they controlled Spain's main threat all night and Torres was made completely inaffective by them.

Hibbert should also get a fair shout I think. Kept Reina in his place. Although I can't really see it even though I would love to see him play for England
 
Third game in a row that Jagielka has had Torres in his pocket, he makes it look easy.

I thought the back 4 were flawless, granted they had extra space to get forward with the ball, but Hibbert and Baines were awesome, compared to LFCs fullbacks they were different class.

why not all 4?? we have the only all english back 4 in the league, it would be bad for us, but from the national team's perspective it'd be great, 4 players who already know how to work well with one another and who are rock solid

Dossena was absolutle Bollocks

he's meant to be Italy's main leftback

Bains and Hibbert are worth their weight in gold for us!!!

If they don't get into the England squad then I wouldn't mind as long as they are at Everton for the rest of their careers.

Eveton fans as boys and truly play every minute the best they can for the club.

Baines great going forward, Hibbo great at tackling. Lescott and Jags simply outstanding. Why do us blues complain so much, including myself??
