2025/26 Jack Grealish

If we're going to pay a player 250k + a week, best to have him slap bang in the middle and give him license to do whatever he wants.

Found it insane to just shove him out on the left when he came on.

There was a lovely little passage where he tried to do a 1-2 with Gueye who played a carthorse ball backwards out of play instead of laying it back off.

Sorry Jack, that's the standard you'll have to get used to.

He's definitely the one that should play in the middle. People say it about other players but I always think it's just an excuse for them being crap on the wing. With Grealish he's got the ability to make sure a game doesn't pass him by in that number 10 role.

Agree with this. Grealish on the left just stops play and 9 times out of 10 attempts to cut in. In a 10 position he will not be stuck to a routine that the left wing position offers him. Let him loose in a ten

I thought we'd definitely lost when i saw him on the left.

Has to play 10.

I say the same about Illiman. We don't bring them into the game enough. Maybe the bypass of the midfield to a player that can't hold the ball up needs addressing.
it’s hard for Grealish and Ndiaye to get on the ball when the game plan involved Tarkowski and Keane kicking it over their heads for Beto to fall over or control it into row Z.

Think he can kiss goodbye to his England chances tbh. When he did get the ball, the rest of the the team stood and watched him try and beat two players.

Played a one-two with Beto and Gana and watched the return pass fly away to nowhere. Garner gave him no help tonight, and Myko won’t be much better for him either.
