Its a blessing in disguise

I hate these 'it's a blessing' type threads. Every bleeding year we are blessed with getting knocked out. Somehow I don't regard that as a blessing......

I agree with the OP, I did not want a day out to wembley at all. It would have been worse if we won it as well, imagine having to wait around in wembley as Pip lifted the trophy.............. Boring.

Lucky miss, can't wait for the Wife to die, its another blessing in disguise or something.

"Our last chance of winning anything" are people forgetting in the last few years we have gotten to the FA cup final and Semi final?, we have just as much chance as winning that imo.

Birmingham City, Liverpool.. Just two poor teams in recent history off the top of my head that have won the League Cup.

Right or wrong, the teams at the top just don't treat this tournament seriously. City already out. This would be nailed on to be our best chance of a trophy if we played our best 11.

We seem to treat the FA cup a bit more seriously, but then so do the Champions League teams. So Status Quo there as we have not won it since Moyes arrived.

Nothing beats the 7th place trophy.

Whereas running round wembley with a cup is meaningless, why you can't get a ticket for love nor money when we reach finals is up there crop circles.

Complete fckin' mystery.

Aye, well it's nothing to do with what the fans want. The 7th place trophy pays more money than the League Cup.

In fact, fùck the fans. Just make sure we are still on that gravy train next season.

I have a feeling 'Its a Blessing In Disguise' is going to turn out to be this season's 'At least We're Not Villa'.

Some of the reactions from you lot on here - you'd swear that we've just been relegated or something.

We lost against a full strength-Championship Promotion Chasing team when we made 6 changes from the match before.

Was Moyes taking it seriously?

No.

Sky just built it up so it made it look like we were up it.

Was it really a full strength Leeds team though? And just because Moyes wasn't taking it seriously doesn't mean he shouldn't have been taking it seriously.

Best chance of winning a trophy as the big teams tend to play their 2nd string teams. But oh well onto the FA cup it is then.
