Got a fair few old EFC tops in me wardrobe going back to 80s. How old does it need to be for ya to be considered retro and not a trampy git who can't afford a newer one ?

Depends I have a few old 80s ones but would never ever wear them in public unless:

A: I was playing football
B: I was watching football

The reason I like the cream away kit from 2 years ago is because of the retro feel, I can wear it down the pub without feeling like a kid, it's got some class about it. Some of the older shirts will have that feel about them too I guess.

If you've got an ale belly you look a [Poor language removed] irrespective of the vintage of the shirt.

Middle aged men can only wear colours if they've managed to maintain the body shape they had in their younger days.

The cream one is the best Everton shirt for beards. I love mine.

I think people look more of a tit while wearing the new kit. All nice & clean out of the club shop, it's a bit wanky.
I always like to see fans wearing blue on match day tho.

Strange this. Wearing old football shirts is naff and older men wearing them is really naff. But in rugby union wearing old shirts is cool and older men wearing them adds status and extra coolness......
