We don't want to have an interim manager, but if the board's number 1 target doesn't want to leave his side mid-season, then you have to look at interim manager or persisting with Silva till the end of the season.

A professional club would already have a plan and suitable replacement lined up since a few weeks back when it was obvious what was coming. Not holding my breath with Everton as they are the total opposite of professional and mostly just panic and react and usually incompetently.
