We spent beyond the imposed limits, clearly not beyond our means as the club didn’t go bust like Leeds.Because we were a car crash of a club.
We spent beyond our means
Maybe sailed close to the wind like.

Nearly but didn’t.We nearly did go bust.
Nearly but didn’t.
Point is our ‘over expenditure’ was less to do with means than to do with regulations.
In a system that allows Liverpool to spend £500,000,000 yet says we spent £20m too much.
I’d agree there, there was £20m too much spent on each of Schniederlin, Mina, Gomes and Gbamin for starters. In reality we never spent £20m too much, it was far worse.
Because we were a car crash of a club.
We spent beyond our means
I’m only wading in and out here but isn’t the point of this argument that there are other car crash clubs that have spent beyond their means that haven’t received points deductions? Like Manchester United?
Yes but still their report was nonsense and also it’s now coming to light they simply do not know what to give as a penalty. If you went off our rules for Forest they should have been deducted like 20 points.Stop it, other than PSG we had the highest wages to turnover in Europe.
We overspent by a mile.

This is right Mike, we deserved punishment for breaking rules but others have broken them too or found 'creative' ways to get round the rules 'Cheatsea I'm looking at you' which is why we feel wrongedI’m only wading in and out here but isn’t the point of this argument that there are other car crash clubs that have spent beyond their means that haven’t received points deductions? To be fair to the Premier League, they have been fighting Manchester City in court since 2019.
They have unlimited funds and have been trying to delay this case by any method possible.
The legal fees for the premier league must be in tens of millions.
