This is the issue when the premier league went after us on mostly subjective rulings.

Unless you have set punishments for rule breaking then it all seems illogical and bias.

It's good we have avoided any more of this. It also underlines the importance of a functional ownership and board.

We were an open target for the PL in their quest to head off the prospect of a regulator.

We had an absentee owner, no Chairman, an interim and inexperienced CEO, and no board to speak of.

That's some level of vulnerability and it was exploited to the full to make us a scapegoat.

Forest and Leicester bared their teeth to a greater extent than we could and of course other clubs were assisted to make whatever "adjustments" they required.

It's worth pointing out again what Colin Chong had to deal with. This should never happen again. It shouldn't either with credible and seasoned professional ownership.

I guess they didn't want to waste any more money and time taking down their own members and I'm pleased they'll be no asterisk for any club this year but it leaves an incredibly bitter taste in the mouth about how we were treated last year and other fans reaction to it. The thing that annoys me the most, still, is we just didn't fight back as a club properly, sick of being the pushovers in the league, being laughed at by everyone. Let's hope those days are over.
