That being said the justification given for ten points makes it sound like the figure was invented out of thin air
My biggest worry with the whole thing is that they have laid out there, very clearly, that this decision sets no precedent and any punishment, or none-punishment is dependant entirely on the panel that is put together for that specific charge. That feels like a predetermined get-out-clause for all following cases.
The way that they have worded it also seems to suggest that it is not acceptable for clubs to expect to be anywhere beyond where these 'specialists' see them as being, and Everton should not have had the gall to aim for 6th place.
We'll be OK anyway, and as some have said this is probably the season you'd want it to land.
Nice to see Everton sticking up for themselves as well, and we will indeed watch with great interest for the outcome of other clubs over the next 12 months.
