What a performance! Incredible engine, and not used in a headless chicken kind of way. Interesting to see him coming into the back line a lot to receive the ball off the defenders. And when he received it there he was full of confidence and invariably looking to then move the ball forward.

He was superb yesterday, and I say that after spending most of the last year saying how average he was. If he could turn in a fair number of performances at this level, he will be a major asset. Amongst a lot of very good performers he was MOM for me.
Was moving the ball quickly in little triangles all over the pitch yesterday, as well as winning tackles and breaking up play. I hope it continues like that

Ridiculously good in the tackle and his reading of the game - for the first time in years we have a side with actual balance and he's an essential part in allowing us to play that way. Richarlison and Sigurdsson have been brilliant this season but Gueye's pushing them for our player of the season so far.
