Gana Gueye is a quality player, yes he had an off day against Watford, he hounds players into a mistake and wins a lot of possession for us, he is up there with the best in the prem.

I like Gueye. However, it’s a results business, and you should always be striving to be the best, be better and looking to improve.
Whilst yes, Gueye works his ass off, never gives in and is amazing defensively. Hes moving up the pecking order of “replace” for me. It’s not a knock on him, just a natural progression to betterness.
His all round game lets him down. I know we didn’t buy Gueye for his all round ability and the return we’ve had for him is excellent, but we need that box to box midfielder now. Someone not only does what Gueye does, but can pass too.
I’m not in a rush, but if PSG offered a big sum, I’d be tempted.

I like Gana. He’s given us tremendous value since he arrived & I hope we keep him. That said, I trust Silva/Brands implicitly based on what I’ve seen so far. If they think the money is right & have a replacement who can do what he does, but better in possession, happy days!
