Ideas to improve GOT

Just a question to you guys running this superb site do you have any system when say long term posters say stop posting because maybe health and we'll being, and maybe we class as friends and think that's odd . couple of times on here nothing to do with bans but just fell off the radar and you think wow that's odd .I know you do a great job but should theres be a system to try and check if they're ok .

Who are you concerned about? It’s possible someone on here knows the poster or non-GOT ways of chatting with them

@Earwigjoe just thought he hasn't posted anything especially in the depression section he always had a great input on there a few posters also were wondering were he had gone.

I've thought about this a lot and think something should be available as an option or something.

I'd hate to die and people just to wonder sometimes why I hadn't posted in so long or something.

I'm not sure to be honest Dan, that's why I haven't presented an idea for it.

At the moment it's very much just a feeling of something that would be nice but I can't see how it would look in reality apart from some sort of voluntary register of sorts.

I think at the moment I'll just leave my login details to my wife to inform people, not that I'm planning to depart this mortal coil anytime soon fingers crossed.

I think this is the way to go. Family or friends notifying GOT for you.

There was a gentleman several years ago that passed and his family logged in to let us know. And more recently @messymascot arranged to have a friend let us know.

Only other thing would be to start a thread (or maybe one "lost GOTers" thread) to see if anyone knew a poster irl or had other non-GOT contact.

A push notification instead of an email maybe? Would it have a higher response rate?
