Cheers mate. This is what we've missed. We haven't conceded a goal with him on the pitch so far this season (i know he hasn't played much like) but it shows that we are more solid with him. He does the simple things well, where as Nev and Osman always seem rushed on the ball, whereas Gibbo's more composed. Put Gibson alongside, just for an example, Beńat, we'd have the pretty much perfect CM partnership. Both can pass well, with the solidity of Gibson allowing the other CM to push forward and join the attack. Would be good...
I think thats maybe a little harsh on Osman, i think probably our best natural footballer, he gets an awful lot of flack on occasions. Osman doesnt obviously offer as much defensive cover but still puts his foot in an awful lot and also supports the attack very well with Gibson as security. Im not familiar with this Benat you speak of. I was thinking more of a player to play off the striker, possibly Barkley when ready, moving Fellaini back besides Gibson, or a replacement for Osman.

If it were me:

I would attempt to bring in Holtby, Traore (from Lorient) and Donovan.

...AND I would put an eye on the Mexican league for cheap talent. That league has vastly improved over the past 3 years.

What is with the stupid hate parade on Vellios, He's an alight player still young and still learnng, Get a grip.

Mate if I want to have an opinion on a player whether good bad or indifferent, I will do you don't have to agree with it and you could possibly even state the reasons why you disagree with it, that's what a forum is for is it not!!

Yeh I wasn't meaning to be as harsh on Osman as it sounded. I like him, and he always gives 100%. He was probably MOTM (apart from Kev) on Sunday, but he's 31 - not saying he's finished, but I think it isn't wrong to be thinking about a replacement, hopefully one who can cover both CM and AM (e.g. Holtby, Paulinho or Beñat or maybe even Sissoko from Tolouse - not trying to pick random names, but just think they'd be good for us). I think Barkley needs a good season at Sheff Wed., playing first team football in a very competitive Championship; there's no rush yet with Barkley - he's got 4 years on his deal, so there's nothing wrong with giving him a good year to prove himself instead of just jumping in at the deep end.

And check Beñat out if you can mate. A very good player, had 2 very good seasons at Betis now, pretty much the key player for them, and they are 5th in La Liga at the moment. Think he was injured at the weekend though. Very similar to Arteta, but he's only 25. That Spanish guy off Sky Sports rates him (Guellem Bigalle (sp.) highly as well, and i've watched him a few times over the last year. Traditional no.10.

I suppose if, long term, we were looking to push Felli back (if we can keep him), then somebody like Isco would be a good option, but he would likely cost an arm and a leg and there will be richer teams in for him.

That polish lad £1m
Isco (Malaga) £7.5m

I can see Malaga selling for around £7 mil tbh (think that's approx. 8-9 mil in euros), but I can also see 'bigger'/richer European teams been in for him - City have been linked already I think.

Realistically, we could do with a decent back-up striker (loan or small fee), along with a creative player to fill the no.10 role (Isco if we're gonna move Felli back, or one of the otehr's i've mentioned if we're wanting someone to play alongside Gibson and cover for Felli when needed).

The main thing is versatility though; we haven't got silly money to spend on a massive squad, so any player needs to be able to do a job wherever. Isco is a very good attcker, and could play behind the striker or on either wing. Somebody like Holtby or Beńat could play in the middle with Gibson, behind the striker or on either wing. Moyes would love it!

In fantasy land i'd take both like!

Fellaini wont to leave Everton so:
From Everton to Sunderland Fellaini £8,750,000
From Newcastle To Everton: Hatem Ben Arfa £5,750,000
Then we will have £2,000,000

Play Ben Arfa About CM
