damn oh well good luck to him dont know how he will fit in barca team myself very good backup imo would of being better of going to team were he is going to be a certain starter
Agree with you, that he probably would have been better off, signing for a lower profile club. But, then again, the quality to succeed at Barca is clearly there. Rate him very highly myself, if he gets the chance to impress at Barca is a totally different matter.

Quality signing for Barca, exactly what they need.
He won't walk into the Barca team, but don't underestimate his qualities.

I was being serious mate, I think he will do very well for them, he's a well rounded player with good technical quality but he's also a bit more direct than what they have already. Will fit right in I think.

Alright, fair enough. Thought I spotted a hint of sarcasm in your post. Agree with you then, he has all the attributes to become a top player for them, if given the chance.

hehe might be worth keeping an eye this fella whilst he is at barca if he doesnt do well for lets say 12months could be worth a cheeky loan bid next year

BUMP.

"He has the qualities to succeed at Barcelona, but endured a setback with his injury. It might therefore be better to try and get more playing time elsewhere. We're currently in the process of looking into the possibilities," Jansen stated to Studio Voetbal.

"We are talking about a loan move here. It all depends on Barcelona, though. They decide where their players are going. There are a number of clubs that are very concrete. We are in talks with several clubs."

Afellay's agent confirmed he's available on loan this morning. It would be a real signal of our ambitions if we at least enquire. Maybe Heitinga can throw in a good word?

Followed this lid for a while, he is very good. I'd say Arsenal or Newcastle would be in for him, or even them lot.
