#MURDERINGSCUM
Sparked off by a bit on the BBC about Man Utd vans wanting to alter the layout of the stadium in order to create some sort of atmosphere.

What is the fascination with ‘atmosphere’ at clubs and artificially generating it? I get the whole principle of the 12th man and all that, but it seems to be this odd school of thought that unless your singing and jumping round like a 6 year old on a sugar rush you aren’t a real fan and you’re harming the team.

Personally, I’m there because I want to see a game live, there’s just a connection that’s intangible with actually being there. I’m not there to be a ‘dead good fan’ and go through the song book because some mouthbreather decides that’s what fans need to do.

Don’t get me wrong, when the crowd is roaring then it’s an amazing experience, but it’s always at it rawest when it comes off the back of action on the pitch inspiring the crowd, rather than the other way.

People go on about the amazing atmosphere that European fans create, but how much of the actual game do they see? Plus it’s so utterly phony. It’s like that bird that posts on Instagram about her dead good life, but you know she’s an absolute misery a**e in reality. It’s how I perceive those fans.

I’m not saying go to a game but sit there in silence, sing if you want, but these organised ‘shows of support ’ are the worst things ever. Sit down and watch the football.

To be honest I much prefer to go to watch Rugby live.

No Segregation = Great Banter
Drinking In Stands = Drunk Banter

Also never have any fear of idiots causing trouble.
No corralling by pumped up coppers.

Just the threat of getting a pint glass put on one's head !!!!

Although i agree with the point of not organising the fans to sing or whatever,

It would help that our fans weren't silent all the bloody time! It has been proven the minute the fans get behind the team we perform better, yet we never do. It would help to our fans if the club reminded them to show some enthusiasm at the ground and not just boo all the time and grumble.

Now i don't mean sing all the time or cheer for the sake of it, i mean just try and lift the players a little bit.

Just the threat of getting a pint glass put on one's head !!!!
Which would result in more drunken banter.

Whereas in football a bloody brawl (this is stated from my own experiences having witnessed a similar incident at Brentford once)

Football is nothing without the fans.
It would not be the game it is today without the old fashioned terraces sparking off the passion.
Give the fans what they ask for, they made the game.

Organised singing sections like the palace ‘ultras’ need shooting . An utter embarrassment to English football . A gang of southern weasels pretending they are on a curva in Italy is pathetic. Most of them don’t even look like they watch the game .
You get the feeling they're not really singing to encourage the team but to draw attention to themselves.
