They are more related to cats genetically mate. Cat wolves.

Watched a show earlier, where a couple of Honey Badgers squared up to a few Hyenas and the snide hyenas bottled it and gave it the slips.

Hyenas are hateful snidey scavengers. Utter cowards by themselves, evolutionarily unlikely to survive alone, but are emboldened by being in a pack. Normally they don't even manage a kill by themselves, but they turn up after a skilled hunter has performed its swift execution and mob off, or await the cessation the hunter's feeding to claim the carcass.

I think they do that in wildlife parks to tell them apart. They're all so alike.
