How we gonna set up for the derby without Pienaar?

Pienaar should have been sent off before that anyway, everybody who saw it in real time thought it was a yellow, which is what the ref saw.

Liverpool only have one fit striker FFS. Us losing Pienaar is no excuse, we should easily have the team to beat them with Felli and Gibson back.

thats the spirit

Don't think Oviedo is ready to start.

Agree. Not sure a local derby is gonna be the best game to start him in - the occassion may be too much.
Would rather have Mirallas on the right as normal and Osman go left as he has experience in derbies.
Hopefully Fellaini and Gibson will both be back otherwise I fear the usual result.

Think Mirallas needs to step up. He's been decent don't get me wrong, but no stand out performances as far as I'm concerned. What a way to introduce yourself properly by performing ace in the derby ey*

*if he's not sent off.

Some of you lot are acting as if the Liverpool reserves are going to show up. We don't have a better squad then them, and for some reason no matter how **** their form is or how bad they seem to be doing they always show up and beat us. No better example than the semi-final last season.

That being said, I really hope Fellaini plays. Don't think we'll miss Pienaar that much.

We do have a better side than them.

But they have a pact with the devil and this far outways our marginally better side.

Aye. Pienaar's gone, we just have to accept it and move on, despite the huge blow.

We need both Fellaini and Gibson back for Liverpool. Even before today, we looked light in midfield.

Assuming both are back:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Naismith Osman Gibson Mirallas
Fellaini
Jelavic
If not:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Naismith Osman Neville Oviedo
Mirallas
Jelavic

This is correct

Oh no.

It is still very much there. This sunday. Just you wait. Its going to be horrendous.

Soon.

We'll see. But i think Moyes knows what he's doing against Rodgers, look at our recent performances against Swansea. Mark everyone when the keeper has it, force them into hoofing it and the game is ours.

Simple enough right?...

In theory that should work against even Barcelona, but it's not that simple.
