How much football do you watch?

WA Toffee

Player Valuation: £40m
Reading through the Everton transfer thread, it is full of players that I have never heard of, which got me thinking, the last games not involving Everton I have watched was when Spain won the Euros. I probably watched about half of Evertons games last season.

Other than Everton, I would struggle to confidently name a starting 11 for any other team.

How much are you watching?

Enjoyed this summers u21's.
Caught some of the cwc.
Watched some of the women's euros on currently, when it's convenient or there's naught else on.
Wimbledon has just finished, the tour is on, and Everton friendlies have started up again.

Let's face it, have you seen the transfer thread, it's a mile a minute, gets more action that match day threads. There is no off season, there is just angst and angonising and moaning and the justifications for. It's great.

Wait - people around here watch Everton?

During the season probably 4 or 5 games a week on average. 2 or 3 over the weekend and then a couple of the European games. Although I watched less European games last season as the new set up has basically made the group stages devoid of any interest.

Of course. Nothing better than a bit of BDSM when my missus ties me to the bed and then puts on the Blues before disappearing downstairs to watch her favourite shows. By the time she comes to bed I'm past caring. Beginning to think she is telling me something.

Everything Fortuna Sittard home and away. Travel everywhere with them. Everything Everton, that doesn't coincide with Fortuna, as I'll always prefer going the match over watching telly. And everything Racing Genk, that doesn't coincide with either Everton or Fortuna Sittard.

Besides that the odd match here and there. Mostly Dutch eredivisie, as I like to keep tabs on our rivals in what most of the time is a relegation battle. Never the top teams though. Not in any country really. Don't watch Champions League. Premiership only Everton.

I watch the 10 minutes of extended highlights of Everton, on you tube a few days after the match. That's all. I don't even look at the results of other games.

The money game, corruption and eroding sportsmanship has murdered my interest. It was hard at first, but now I really don't miss it.

I'm a total Luddite.
I don't even have a TV in my house.
And I can't say I'm really missing out on what passes for modern culture.
I get up early, do my work, then I pop round to see my old Dad who has got a telly and has Sky Sports, watch a bit on that, get his dinner ready, put the bins out and dig up the spuds on a Sunday morning from the veg patch.
Maris Peer this year and they've been lovely.
I watch the odd game on a Sunday afternoon.
I can't say my life is bereft because of it.
Most of these players who are being linked and passing round for 70m plus....I've never heard of.
I'm quite happy with my lot overall.
