How Do You Do Your Sauce

I'm just having a cold Meat & Potato Pie with some HP on, when you apply the sauce how do you prefer it ?

I went for the Aussie Spiral from the centre and importantly I remembered to do it in the opposite direction.

I go for Tabasco, turned totally upright, and splashed all over in an almost stabbing motion.

On the side, dipping the pie in with each bite. It's the only way to guarantee you get sauce and pie in the correct proportions imo.

I do like the Tabasco but never tried it on a pie, it tastes better out of the mini ones in hotels though.

I tend to go for zigzags from top to bottom, unless it's a chippy, then it's a big splodge for dunking.

went in a chippy on firs lane today and they have dawsons, I got a chip barm though as it was a chippy ffs, and it was only a quid and on a splendid floury barm.

I can see the reasoning pal but does it not make the pastry a bit soggy after the first half pie?

Ahhh classic. With enough butter and vinegar to stop a heart at 50 paces I hope.

That's something I still can't get used to saying. 'Chip teacake please' - it just sounds wrong. IT'S A BARM FFS.
