Home form

Something really not right. How many times has an opposition player been clean through on goal? I think it’s happened in every single game (Pickford has bailed us out lots)

Then think of how many times our players have been clean through..barely ever.

We don’t have the ball retention, the energy or the speed at the back to press high.

Our problem is were so one dimensional.

We never run at defences, we try to pass through and around, its easy to defend against, its why wece scored so few all season.

Brentford came to town, and showed what happens when you've got pace and dynamism.

Spurs, Newcastle used pace and aerial threat and killed us.

Teams sit in deep, because we dont have confidence to take on... when we do that away, its successful... but at home we dont have a Plan A let alone Plan B.

We have been trying to win the second ball for 30 years, I’m going to support MarineFC. Easy parking, no fkn £8 donuts either.

I think the issue is that we have a mid table quality squad, so we are getting mid table quality results.

It's not too much more complicated than this is it?

Whenever we come up against a team with actual full backs or pace on the wings or even a striker you can rely on, we're at a disadvantage because we just don't have those things yet.

Home form is unacceptable

Home performances aren't good enough.

We are far too slow and passive. We don't press and we aren't aggressive enough. We are incredibly pedestrian, we don't play direct enough, and we aren't good enough at set plays.
So much for the idea that with so many other teams having midweek European games we could fill out boots. Every team we've played has showed more intensity than us.

I think while we can feel we could have been so much better off this year due to the way the league is and how games have gone for us, we are still much better off under Moyes than any previous manager.

Under Dyche we were all annoyed at how rigid he was defensively and his gameplan seemed to be to keep it tight and try to get a lucky goal and if not, hold on for 0-0.

Under Moyes we do attack more and that will expose some lack of quality that we simply couldn’t fix in one window when we had so many players already leaving.

I think we have missed a trick but I much prefer watching our games under Moyes and we aren’t relegation threatened either which is good for the nerves

When your club's attitude is not to be relegated, it's unlikely you'll have top managers or a great home record.

When the club's attitude changes to wanting to seriously compete, both of those things have a chance of changing.

Our home league form now reads;
Played 13 won 4 drawn 4 lost 5.

There’s a worrying pattern of just capitulating as well. A mad 10 minutes today, conceding 2 and a red card. Wolves where we bottled a lead and had 2 red cards. Brentford, Spurs and Newcastle where as soon as we conceded one we folded and let in 2 or 3 more goals in no time.

Still got United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea to play at home as well.
