I must have watched him a few times for us when I was very young but don't recall too much of him in blue. Yes, he was played at left back as we already had the Holy Trinity in midfield. He was then apparently Brian Clough's last signing before he left Derby and struggled to get in the side initially after Dave Mckay took over. But he played the full season alongside Archie Gemmill and Bruce Rioch when Derby beat us to the title in 74/75. I remember him featuring when they thrashed Real Madrid at home the next season.
