Alright lads, i'm in the process of buying a new laptop and wanted to pick your brains as to see what you recommend?

Don't play that much gaming online like so it would be just for surfing the net, streaming footy off the net etc.

Ive seen this one for 400 quid in PC world, always thought that Toshiba where a decent make to go for. Would'nt wanna pay much that 4 ton to be honest.....Its got 8GB Memory and intel core 3I processor, 640GB hardrive

Don't know that much bout computers so wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas of what I could go for and if they think this one is god enough.

any help much appreicated....

My sis has a toshiba and it breaks every 4 months or so. Not to say that'll happen for you but just putting it out there.

Go for acer, can't go wrong with them.

I bought a 2nd hand Acer, I needed something quickly to do my books for work so bought it for £180 ish, that was about April last year and it is still going strong, not had any probs at all tbh (I've touched wood twice already today), the battery is still fine (10 hrs), everything works on it and it seems to live up to everything that Acer claimed.

I would go for another one of them now that I know it is ok, it doesn't move much so would be tempted for the bigger version as that has same sort of battery life.

Acer Timeline.

The plastic cases around Toshiba's seem real cheap expecially on the lower cost ones. I like Toshiba too, both of my TVs are Toshiba.

Get a Samsung or Acer. Good quality and good price. Don't spend more than 500UK either unless you want an ultrabook.
