At the moment Heitinga is only cover,cover on very high wages,even though I really rate Heitinga,Everton dont/cant afford to have too many players on high wages,especially when there not first choice.It would make sense to sell him,buy someone like Scott Dann, or maybe Caulker if DM fancies him in part ex and then with the surplus cash from Johnny and Rodwell £14m?,buy 2 really good players in positions we need,(RW/Playmaker or striker.

This, although i bet weve only got 3-4 million left of the Rodwell money after signing Mirallas and giving a bit to the banks. And then if we was lucky to get are money back or more for Heitinga, which i think is reasonable as he's a good player and showed it last season, we could have something like 9-10 max to get in a replacement and have money left over to sign one or 2 more players, 1 permenantly and a loan or 2 possibly?.

He's a good player but let's face it, Jags and Distin have not been mouthing off to foreign press about possible moves in the way Johnny has in the past.

Thats because they are in the favourites club, and dont get shunted here there and everywhere, no matter what form he shows in his preferred position, I'd say he showed incredible restraint, this season in particular

Not at all, I just think he is replaceable if sold at the right price, and on a massive wage with a contract that is running down.

The season before last he often played like he couldn't care less from what I saw of him. Fair play to him for pulling his finger out last season but I could have put a bullet through his head at times the previous season.

hes not our best centre half hes not even our 2nd best centre half!!

It's not true so calm down with your nonsense.

We need 3 quality centre backs, people can't seem to grasp that even having Heitinga on the bench will improve the performances of Distin and Jags. Genuine competition for places is essential.
