Heitinga

"I don't think anyone will be leaving now, that's for sure"

Steve Round on SSN a few seconds ago.

Moyes said he wants two more in to make up the numbers, so I don't think he's going to let anyone go unless it's too good to turn down. He's probably just rotating Heitinga. He's brought him on for the last two games when we didn't really need him just to keep him involved.

9 million plus Caulker? I don't need an ITK to tell me that's ridiculous and never happening.

Caulker is a good player but I wouldn't swap Heitinga for him.

Caulker could be a Distin replacement if the price was right for next season

I think that David Moyes realised that he needed to spend money this summer,at the very least to buy Pienaar.
I think that they were/are afraid that Heitinga will run the clock down on his contract and leave for nothing and are were/are prepared to sell at any reasonable price.
The sale of Rodwell has generated cash for purchases and the sale of Heitinga is now less imperative.
He could still be sold but maybe only for a better price.
At this late stage in the window I think that players will only be sold when replacements are in place so evey transfer has a domino effect.I believe that we could be quite active buying and selling before Aug 31st,regardless of what Steve Round has said.

I mean, what would a 20 year old CB with a year's worth of experience in the PL be worth? 6-7 million? Probably more?

That would put Heitinga's valuation, in this rumor, at 15 million or more. I mean, what?

If this was true , which i doubt ( Sorry OP) i would bite Levys hand off.
Being Levy , this wont be true.
I love Johnny but i'd be taking this.

That's ok, I wasn't saying that this was 100% happening, just what I heard from a friend. It seems as though this site has a few good lads that get info, so was just seeing if it was true?

The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jagielka have been impressive performers and it has been suggested the pair could be transfer targets for other clubs.

But Round said: "There are only a few days to go (in the transfer window) and I don't think there will be anyone leaving now, that's for sure."
