Heitinga

...except we didn't 'almost' sell Heits for £5m. When they made that ridiculous offer we firmly told Bahce where to go. So no, £5m does not suddenly become the going rate for him off that episode. World cup finalist who is versatile, had a great season last year with us and is at his peak in terms of age, I'd say £9m is about ball-park in the current market (Dawson £6m??). Adding Caulker would be a massive extra tho and I really can't see Levy agreeing to that.

You know this how?

Caulker is young and looks a decent prospect, and with Jonny nearing the winter of his career, EVERTON would be mad to turn that offer down.

Considering we were close to selling him to fenebache for a lot less than that infact if you price the lad at £3m ish its about 3 times more then the turks offer and the figures we've had agents exploring is significantly less I'd think there is almost certainly nothing to this story at all.

It makes me fume that we've come so close to selling Heitinga for £5m or less, we'd struggle to get a replacement as good as him for much less than that at which point you have to question why we'd bother selling him in the first place.

The only logic in selling Heitinga would be if we got enough money to replace him AND have cash to fund another transfer, which we wouldn't.

Not that I'm the expert here, but I'm relatively certain that Sheedy will tell you different

As much as the twitter rumours do my head in, what's just as annoying is people going "FFS ANOTHER TWITTER RUMOUR" when he said this rumour isn't off twitter. Doubt it's true but that offer would be hard to say no to.
You make a good point. It tend to be newer posters who get their heads bitten off as well. Rumours have to come from somewhere and twitter rumours will always be treated with contempt so no need to go over the top.

Haha !

We were the ones hawking him around other clubs lad, not the other way round. Kenwright would have sold him for £5m and had a party about it, the tit.

I'm sorry but I'm not so sure we told them where to go , it was everton trying to sell Heitinga more than the Turks trying to buy him in my opinion well at least initially. I am pretty certain the figure everton have told agents they'd listen to is a lot less than the figures of this clearly Jarg twitter rumour.

You know this how?

Principally from the various trusted ITKs on here...the understanding was that this was an offer from the turks, not something we offered them. But tbf who knows?

Frankly, given Spuds now have £30 odd million burning a hole in their pocket and 3 days to spend it, a welter of jarg options are bound to arise, but a move for Heits makes pefect sense for them and given their need to act quickly, the price would be higher.

EDIT: Just read Sheeds above and so swiftly retract the bo**ocks I just came out with!

Um, who ?

Warnings for what, passing on something you've been told?

What's a forum for?

I suggest you go and spend some time in the real world.

This is fair. Put the cursor over the title and you get a snippet of whats in the thread. If it's likely to bother you don't read it.

No need to give posters, most who haven't been on long, a load of stick because YOU don't like what they post. Some of the absolute nonsense discussed by some of the 'stalwarts' can be ridiculous at times but I don't hear any say anything to them. Rightly so BTW.

There is nothing about it on Twitter, mate. This is just a GOT rumour at the moment.

Signed for Atletico Madrid this morning, £6m.
