Like someone else has said, he could have moved a long time ago but he wasn't offered enough money. He decided to see his massive contract out and now he's bricking it because some other no mark defender may take his place in the WC squad.
apologies if this has been said laready, ive not read the full thread...but when he said 'there were options but none that were interesting enough' or words to that effect.
We all know the only thing he meant was 'no one else would pay me 65k a week so i stayed here.
If he was that ar5ed about playing regular and getting into the WC squad he would have left for first team football.
No sympathy for the greedy 5hite, too many players these days are happy to sit on the bench and take the wedge. If we can get a mil or 2 for him in jan he needs to go. His attitude is a complete pi55 take anyway. Clearly cba.

Well this is my reading into it:
I hate him because every time he goes away with the Dutch squad he is quoted about how is unhappy at some form of life at Everton.
I hate him because when given the opportunity to leave he would appear ( no concrete proof but he doesnt deserver the benefit of the doubt!) He has turned it down because being an Everton bench warmer is more important to him than actually playing football or having the chance to represent your country at the World Cup finals.
I hate him because when given the chance to play last season he just didn't give two craps, admitted Benteke has made many a centre half look average, but Kone and Shane Long? come on

Lastly, Johnny Heitinga has never been the clubs player of the season, Sylvain Distin was the official club player of the season that year, Heitinga was a fans vote player of the year,
