Just curious - why do you think that? It's much better suited for our squad than 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1 we are playing. Plus it would make other teams struggling against us, as they rarely see anyone playing 3 man defense. Wigan with their great run during spring showed you can surprise teams with it - http://www.zonalmarking.net/2012/05/16/wigan-stay-up-after-a-switch-to-3-4-3/on paper yeah. In reality it would be destroyed week in week out.
Heitinga should always play ffs. I love Jags and Distin but Heitinga's better than at least Distin in my opinion.
Koff MoyLeZ.
Player of the season then dropped.
Brilliant
If he's frustrated about being left out that's a good thing. He's not happy sat on a bench collecting a pay packet like so many other players in the prem. If he puts the effort into training and works hard he'll get a chance, then it's up to his determination to keep it. The trouble is Moyes seems to see Jags as his first choice CB, so it then leaves a battle between Distin and Heitinga.
As so many others have said we are starting to get a squad where there is competition for places so no player should become complacent.
Jagielka and Distin started the season well so fair enough. I like him in the team though, we play much better football from the back when he's there.
I don,t think this is going to have a happy ending for the lad. Player of the season he was for the club but he got found out in the Euros so i just wonder if that has played into Moyes selection this year.
Moyes needs to clear it up internally with the player which I am sure he has done but this tweeting nonsense from the player is not helpfull.
