Have you ever considered supporting someone else and abandoning Everton?

Ever thought of jumping ship?

I don’t ever remember not supporting Everton. Santa brought me the 1987 kit in a presentation box. Still remember opening it. That year I also got the A-Team helicopter. I like to think I remember it but the family photos may have skewed it.

But on topic, Not sure why but Everton is in my blood.

Taken to my first game at 4 years old, never given the option to support anyone else. My dad said if I supported the rs he'd kick me out of the house! Never put any pressure on my son, in fact tried to avoid it but he said he wanted to go to Goodison. We lost 1-0 to Sunderland on boxing day and Tim Howard got sent off. He still became a blue. What can you do, it's in the blood.

I remember a coffee break about 10y ago with a ManU-supporting colleague (non-Manc), where I was bemoaning us being a bit crap and he asked in all seriousness why I didn’t just jump ship and start supporting a more successful team like for instance FC United of Manchester.

Well obviously that worked out well for him in the period since, but in that moment I realised that he must have originally chosen his team himself to even suggest that.

For most of us here we are born into a family. You don’t change that.

I’d rather jib off football completely instead of Everton. This weekend I’ve got no enthusiasm for any game as Everton aren’t involved.

On reflection, I’d jib off Everton if Sean Dyche or Rafael Benitez were ever employed by the club in any capacity ever again.
